Kurmasana: Turtle position

The position of the tortoise (Kurmasana) is one of my favorites: maybe because I live in the city, because every day I spend at least two hours in traffic, it will be because after eight hours of work and at least eleven outside the home I want to lock myself in my shell for some time …

Well Kurmasana is a lifesaver! When the turtle withdraws into its shell does not see, not hear, do not enjoy … listen only herself and this is just what you need during the week!

A moment of silence for “strained”, coming from the world, internal and external balance and share!

I never tire of saying that yoga is good if you do it right, so watch out! But here’s how you do yoga position.

Kurmasana

Sitting on the floor, legs straight and spread seeds, approach a little feet to the trunk to bend the knees, exhaling, and bend the trunk forward bringing your hands, one at a time, under the knees. Then slide off the arms and side distenderle.

At this point we can take the bust near the floor as far as you can, and make a respiratory cycle.
Exhaling lengthen the trunk to support the front of the Earth, if we can even bust …
We remain in this asana for a few seconds up to a minute and then … slowly, breathing, take the position.

There are some variations of the position of the turtle, for example with legs crossed and hands holding the feet, or with feet and arms crossed behind his back. But this version is already sufficient to regain balance after a day of stress, to learn to listen to each other and to listen to what we have inside.
