What is yoga? Why do you practice?

The origins of yoga are lost in time: it is a very old discipline practiced originally in northern India as asceticism and meditation.

Afterwards, yoga, became a practice of the followers of the Buddhist religion and followers of the Indian religious philosophies in General. The purpose of yoga is to reconcile the balance between body and mind, between man and the universe, as the origin of the word itself. “Yuj”, in Sanskrit, means “Union” opposing entity. Yoga, then, stimulates circulation and trains the heart: many positions encourage blood circulation even in the most remote parts such as hands, feet, and fingers.
