Jnana and Chin Mudra

The Jnana Mudra and the Chin are the most famous hand gestures, which often see practiced in most popular photographs with people in the Lotus position.

These two mudras, made with hands, are respectively the gesture of knowledge and awareness … that’s why you see so often!

Sitting in the Lotus position, rest your hands on your thighs so they are soft and relaxed, touching the tip of the thumb, index, or by touching the tip of the index the first joint of the thumb. Fingers will be strained and thumb and forefinger form the same gesture when it says “ok” with the body! J

The same gesture has two meanings: If your fingers are pointing towards the sky is the mudra of knowledge, and when your fingers are pointing towards Earth takes the gesture of awareness!

Depending on where you touch your thumb, the gesture will have a different meaning: when we touch the thumb joint, in fact, means that we are ready to give, while when the tips of two fingers touching the location is receptive.

Each finger has its own meaning … and guess why these two gestures are so famous? Because you encounter (remember the meaning of yoga?) the divine (inches) and human consciousness (index)!

The other fingers, in this Act, are the energies that maintain balance micro macro Cosmos: lethargy, activities, harmony. With this seemingly small gesture we represent the Union of Atman (the individual soul) and Brahman (world soul).

This mudra can be practiced even bringing the hands to the heart: in this case, with the flow rate hand at heart level, thumb and forefinger touching look up and will be aimed toward your chest. Jnana mudra, practiced in this way, has several meanings: symbolizes the divine wisdom and devotion towards him.

Jnana Mudra and Chin often are performed when you are preparing to meditate and, if charged as described in this article, we approach even more spiritual level.

These two Mudras are often very beneficial effects when applied to relieve the tensions, gathering ideas and very useful to me, encourages concentration and memory!
